He is survived by: his children, Rebecca Marshall (Wendell), Kathy Simmons (Lee) and Ben Yates, Jr.; and his grandchildren, Amy Murphy (Thomas), Amanda Brogdon (Justin), Trey Yates (Tiffany) and Jesse Yates. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
