He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Laird and Nellie Laird (Russell). He is survived by: his wife Sandra Insco; his daughters, Laura Thomas (Gary) of Dresden, Sherry Cole (Jeremy) of South Fulton and Julie Laird of Gleason; his grandchildren, Crystal Brady, Justin Laird, Will Elliott, Amanda Ballard, Shannon Payne, Misty Kouns, Jesse Payne and Danielle Rodriquez; and his siblings, Lillie Bell of South Fulton and James "Pete" Laird of Martin. He is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren.
