He was predeceased by: his wife Billie Jean Whitworth; his children, Rebecca Lynne McCollum and Larry Whitworth; his parents, Cloys Whitworth and Ella Faye Whitworth; and his siblings, Aaron Whitworth, Harold Whitworth, Ray Whitworth and Mildred Garner.

He is survived by: his son Donald Whitworth; his siblings, Pat Garner, Margaret Lovell and Cotton Whitworth; and his grandchildren, Gretchen Haynes of Gleason, Matthew McCollum of Gleason, Troy Whitworth of Gleason, Kelley Whitworth of California, Travis Whitworth of Texas, Rachael Whitworth, Zachariah Whitworth and Dakota Whitworth. He is also survived by ten great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren.
