He is survived by: his children, James Michael 'Jim Retzke (Gigie) of Edenton, NC, Paula Marie Keller (Chad) of Spruce Pine, NC and Michelle Jean Spaulding (Mark) of Matthews, NC; and his grandchildren, Stephanie, Thomas, Grace, Cooper and Kylie.
