She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Carl and Bessye Lee Bowman; her husband John Thomas Wheeler; her siblings, Karlene and Lee Allen; her grandson Robert Martin "Marty" Pollan; and her sisters-in-law, Katherine Wildy and Lura Bates.

She is survived by: her children, Vinita Wheeler Pollan (Bobby) and John Clifton Wheeler (Sabrina); her grandchildren, Mary Allison Sehnert (Sam), Amy Pollan Barrick (John), Cliff Wheeler (Jessica) and Nichole Wheeler Dunivan (Spencer); her sister-in-law Louise Dennis (Dan); and her nieces and nephews, Mel, Brian, Lonnie, Mary Beth, Laurie, Karen, Charles, Ann, Mary Katherine, Diann, Adam and Daniel. She is also survived by friends.

The family requested in lieu of customary remembrances, Mary Frances be remembered, by donations made to Gracewood Baptist Church, 8551 Getwell Road, Southaven, MS 38672.
