With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joseph Raymond Morton Jr. in Germantown, Tennessee, born in Moscow, Tennessee, who passed away on April 17, 2021 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Raymond Morton, Sr. and Dorothy Rich Morton; and his sister Janice (James Walter Dacus). He is survived by: his brother-in-law James (Walter); his wife Jeanne Hockett Morton; his children, Joe Ray (Laura Jean) and Allyson (Jeff Rast); his grandchildren, Ellie Robinson, Rhyan Elise Wilson and Jared Morton; his nephews, Murray Dacus and Sheldon Dacus; his aunt Nell Seymour; his cousins, Dan Seymour and Al Lowery; his sisters-in-law, Donna Johnston and Eugenia Hockett; his nephew Steven Johnston; and his niece Kim Jones.

The family asks attendees to wear a mask and practice social distancing to enhance the safety of all.
