He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Mitchell and Margaret Henry Mitchell; his wife Reba Walker Mitchell; his sister Anne Wentworth; and his granddaughter Michelle Nicole Mitchell.
He is survived by: his children, Markie Dale Cardone (Michael Paul), Michael Edward Mitchell, Jamie H Mitchell (Kathy) and Stephen Edward Mitchell; and his grandchildren, Jimmie Jackson (Dianna), Chrisie Robeson (Dave) and Matthew. He is also survived by his 7 great-grandchildren.
