He was predeceased by: his parents, Pearl Girvin and Lena Girvin. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Girvin; his daughter Kim Hardy (Robert); and his grandchildren, Whitten Hardy and Ellie Hardy.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Bartlett United Methodist Church or to the charity of the donor's choice.
