David O. Compton Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of David O. Compton of Germantown, Tennessee, who passed away on November 4, 2023 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Phillip Compton and Nellie Compton. He is survived by: his wife Peggie Compton; his children, Amy Dodson (Mark) and David Orville Compton, Jr. (Mary Katherine); his grandchildren, Emily Frisby, Andrew, Jack Dodson (Liza) and Sarah Collis (Colin); his great grandchildren, Matilda, Clark, James and Owen; and his sister Anne Williams (Robert Williams).
Mr. Compton grew up in Nashville, Tennessee and attended college at Tennessee Tech University where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and was President of the Wesley Foundation, the United Methodist Campus Ministry.
