He is survived by: his wife Wilma Cofer of Georgetown; his children, Melissa Cofer, Tina Gilliland Decatur (Richard) and Zendall "Nooney" Cofer; and his sisters, Lela, Georgia and Loretta Dixon (Darvin). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
