He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Haney and Selva Whaley Haney. He is survived by: his wife Diana S. Haney; his son Hubert J. Haney II (April) of Cleveland; his godson David Sanders of Cleveland; his daughters, Diannia G Melton (Dennis) of Cleveland and Kimberly S. Haney-Hardin (Dave) of Georgetown; his siblings, Gene Haney (Linda), Juanita Houston (Gary) of Cleveland and Mary Jane Pierce (James) of Cleveland; and his grandchildren, Logan, Cooper Melton, Hubert Justin and Rachel Sue Hardin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
