She was predeceased by: her husband Porter Franklin; her son Donald Franklin; her parents, P. J. McCarter and Kate McCarter; and her brother Ivan McCarter.
She is survived by: her daughters, Deanna McCarter of Gatlinburg, Sandy Howard (Al) of Antiat, WA and Tricia Franklin; her grandsons, Phillip McCarter (Ashley) of Sevierville and Seth McCarter of Gatlinburg; her great grandchildren, Preston, Shelby, Ryanne and Brandon; her granddaughter Amanda; her son John; and her sisters-in-law, Eza Jean Finchum of Sevierville, Gwen McCarter of Knoxville and Lillie Mae Franklin.
