We are sad to announce that on July 24, 2023, at the age of 89, Charles Benton of Gatlinburg, Tennessee, born in Newton, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Ralph Benton and Mable Benton; his son Charles W. Benton, Jr.; and his siblings, Norman Benton and Miriam Speight.

He is survived by : his wife Elizabeth Laquetta Benton; his daughter Lisa Hays-Ecklund (Jerry); his granddaughters, Jessi Hunter, Brittany Wilson (Mark) and Kassidee Toomire (Chris); and his great grandchildren, Charlee, Kace Hunter, Izabella, Gabriella Wilson, Aumni, Iliah and Xaldin Toomire.
