She was predeceased by: her parents, G. D. "Buddy" Lauderdale and Louise Wilkerson Lauderdale. She is survived by: her husband Jerry Whitaker of Gallatin; her son Casey Whitaker (Brandi) of Gallatin; her sister Teresa Curd (Paul) of Gallatin; and her grandchildren, Madelyn Whitaker and Kendal Whitaker. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Douglass Chapel Methodist Church, 2141 Long Hollow Pike, Gallatin, TN 37066.
