She was predeceased by: her parents, James Columbus Johnson and Pearlie Mayberry Johnson; her husband J. D. Hix; and her siblings, Pete Johnson, Ernest Johnson, Robert Johnson, Zella Charles and Mary Young.
She is survived by: her children, Jim Hix (Roberta) of Cookeville and Sheila Hix Swearengin (Jack) of Gainesboro; her grandchildren, James Hix and Heather Hix Caristo (James); and her great grandchildren, Sadie Hix and Charli Caristo.
