He was predeceased by: his wife Mildred Lee Smallwood Elkins; and his siblings, Charles Elkins, Billy Elkins, Christine Cunningham, Elizabeth Young and Jean Brown.
He is survived by: his daughter Shirley Wade Mathis (Jackie) of Gainesboro, TN; his grandchildren, Shanna Mathis Anderson (John) of Gainesboro, TN, Jeremy Mathis of Gainesboro, TN and Joshua Mathis of Gainesboro, TN; his great grandchildren, Titus Anderson (Brettianee), Elijah Anderson, Norah Ledbetter (Jon) and Levi Anderson; his great great grandchild Silas Walker Anderson; and his brother-in-law Morris R. Smallwood (Darlene).
Memorial donations may be made to the Pharris Cemetery.
