We are sad to announce that on December 10, 2024 we had to say goodbye to Larry Jones of Gainesboro, Tennessee, born in Jackson, Tennessee. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben "Hooper" Jones and Anna "Ruth" Brown Jones; his former wife Katherine Frizzell Jones; his daughter Angela Kay; and his siblings, Charles Jones, Kelly Jones, Houston Jones and Maudine Gore.
He is survived by: his wife Cathy Jean Jones of Flynn's Lick, TN; his son David Jones (Sandy) of Gainesboro, TN; his stepchildren, Shannon Barrett of Indiana and Lisa Nocus (Shane) of Knoxville, TN; his brothers, Troy Jones (Ruth) of Dudney's Hill and Hubert Jones of Gainesboro, TN; his grandchildren, Courtney Birdwell (Nathan) of Bloomington Springs, TN and Megan Jones of Cookeville, TN; and his great grandchildren, Mattie Birdwell and Rylee Jones. He is also survived by 7 step grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home, Inc. (2131 S Grundy Quarles Hwy, Gainesboro, TN 38562). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in his honor to the Vanderbilt University Medical ICU 8th Floor in Nashville, TN.
