With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Herman D. Flatt (Gainesboro, Tennessee), born in Jackson, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 26, 2024 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Boyd Lee Flatt and Eula Louise Flatt; his daughter Patricia Ann Flatt; his siblings, Clarance Flatt, Billy Flatt, Erman C. Flatt and Thelma Petty; and his grandson Christopher James Birdwell.
He is survived by: his children, Jackie Lee Flatt of Hickman, TN, Jimmy H. Flatt of Lebanon, TN, Cathy Birdwell of Cookeville and Thelma Sue Dubree of Cookeville. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home (2131 S Grundy Quarles Hwy, Gainesboro, TN 38562). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home (2131 S Grundy Quarles Hwy, Gainesboro, TN 38562).
