He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Lawson and Eva Nell Fox; his wife Pamela Lawson; his stepfather Alson Fox; his sons, Eugene Lawson and Troy Lawson; and his grandson Josh Lawson.
He is survived by: his granddaughter Ryleigh Lawson; his children, James Lawson (Stephaine), Terry Allen (Shelby), Justin Bronson (Dominique), David Bronson, Angela Howard (Ray), Jessica Smith (Tracey) and Chelsea Walker; his siblings, Bill Sullivan, Carolyn Rudd, Debbie O'Toole and DeWanna Hewitt; his daughters-in-law, Brenda Lawson, Jodi Lawson and Connie Wheeler; his caregiver Sherry Duhon; and his grandchildren, Shawn Lawson, Danielle Lawson, Crystal Arlington, Mikey Lawson, Maycee Lawson, Tyler Allen, Zach Allen, Wyatt Baylor Smith, Allison Brooke Kinney, Austin Osier, Willow Chiellot, Billy Brooks, Zoey Lawson, Korrie Lawson, Aubriee Lawson, Talieha Howard, Alexis Robb, Elisha Scaggs, Austin Scaggs, Tristan Gentry and Joseph Lawson. He is also survived by several Great-Grandchildren.
