He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnnie Eldon Cassetty and Alta Claudine Cassetty; and his siblings, Bobby, Sam, Bill Cassetty and Sarah Willis.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Cassetty of Gainesboro; his children, John Thomas Cassetty of Gainesboro, Susan Putnam (Curtis) of Fairview, TN and Melissa Vance (Thomas) of Carthage, TN; his siblings, George Cassetty (Patsy) of Gainesboro, TN, Charles Cassetty (Jane) of Crossville, TN and Connie Gerregano (Bob) of Nashville, TN; his grandchildren, Matt Putnam (Kimberly), Luke Putnam (Brittany), Caleb Putnam (Mary), Jake Vance and Logan Vance; and his great grandchildren, Bryce, Kamryn, Keegan, Cooper, Penelope, Daphne, Robin, Bennett and Sawyer.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home, Inc. (2131 S Grundy Quarles Hwy, Gainesboro, TN 38562). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in David's honor to the Hope Lodge or St. Jude Children's Hospital by contacting the business office of the funeral home.
