He was predeceased by: his parents, Steven Newberry and Eva Mae Newberry; his wife Eva Lee Allen Newberry; his daughter Linda Maynard; his grandson Curtis "Dippy" Mayberry; and his sister Annie Withem (Herman).
He is survived by: his daughters, Wanda Scantland (Richard) of Gainesboro, TN and Geneva Jackson (Tim) of Gainesboro, TN; his siblings, Dee Newberry (Keron) of Ohio, Clayton Newberry of Ohio and Betty DeLorenzo (Al) of Ohio; his grandchildren, Tommy Scantland, Amanda Harris (Paul), Sherry Wilkerson (James), Paul Mayberry (Jill), Steven Jackson, Joseph Jackson (Kari), Brandon Jackson and Dakota Jackson; and his great grandchildren, Brooklyn Dean (Kota), Breckin Scantland, Rachel Harris, Rebecca Harris, James Harris, Kailyn Phann, Bentley Wilkerson, Clayton Mayberry, Ruth Jackson, Forrest Jackson and Marci Jackson.
