He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnnie Calvin Hix and Roxie Lee Hix; his siblings, Bobby Kenneth Hix, Charles Hix, Gene Hix, Betty Scantland and Patricia Boles; and his grandchildren, Raylei Angel Mayberry and Alli Fayeth Mayberry.
He is survived by: his wife Janie Hix of Gainesboro, TN; his daughters, Lisa Locke (Jeff) of Whitleyville, TN, Shelia Hix (Christal) of Gainesboro, TN and Angie Savage (Danny Mayberry) of Whitleyville, TN; and his grandchildren, Ashley Stafford (Matthew), Justin Locke (Brooke), Tristin Randolph (Mandy), McKinzi Turner, Dustee Savage and Lyndi-Mae Savage. He is also survived by 12 Great Grandchildren.
