She was predeceased by: her parents, Loyd Tipton and Gertie Tipton; her husband Herman Garland; her children, David Wayne Garland, Judy Lee Harmon and Karen Hope Crisp; and her siblings, Ada Tipton, Nell Moore and William Tipton.
She is survived by: her children, Pat Payne of Maryville, TN, Wesley Garland of Maryville, TN, Tim Garland of Vonore, TN and Sandra Ritz of Murphy, NC. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren.
