He is survived by: his mother Madge Murphy; his wife Terry Brown Gardner; his children, Jack III, Joshua (Tina), Matthew (Lauren) and Amanda Newman (Chris); his grandchildren, Taylor, Brittnea, Alyssa and Liam; and his siblings, Jenny Stamey (Jim) and Bobby Gardner.
