It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sebern William Curtis Jr. of Friendship, Tennessee, who passed away on September 25, 2024, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Sebern William Curtis, Sr. and Willie Lou Wyatt Curtis; his wife Lisa Gillon Curtis; and his sisters, Billie Marie Beasley, Artie Lou Curtis Johnson, Wanda Curtis Williams and Julie Madden.

He is survived by: his daughter April Shawver (Clint) of Dyersburg, Tennessee; his sisters, Doris Puckett of Friendship, Joyce Lawless of Eddyville, Kentucky, Mert Guin of Friendship and Mary Cantrell (Gary) of Ridgely, Tennessee; his siblings-in-law, Shelia Thornton and Dale Thornton; and his grandson Mason Shawver.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Johnson-Williams Funeral Home (239 E Main St, Newbern, TN 38059). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home (239 E Main St, Newbern, TN 38059).
