He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Mays and Lula Marie Sorrells Mays; and his siblings, Margaret Marie Mullins, Ruby Louise Cox, Jerry Neal Mays, Bobby Ray Mays, David Samuel Mays and John Thomas Mays.
He is survived by: his siblings, Joe Edward Mays (Ann) and Rose Marie James (Doug) of Newbern, TN. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Friendship Funeral Home (152 Main St, Friendship, TN 38034).
