He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard William Mabrey and Mary Jane Mabrey (Lawson); his wife Wilma Kemp Mabrey (Draper); his sons, Michael and Mark Mabrey; the mother of his children Virginia Mabrey (Hawkins); and his grandson Joe Paul Mabrey.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Dr. David H. Kemp (Rhonda) and Dr. Luanne Kemp Williams (David); his grandchildren, Dana Mabrey Mason (Tommy), Christopher Kemp (Molly) and Olivia Williams Wilkins (Austin); and his caregiver Susan Henson (Denny). He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.
