He was predeceased by: his parents, Alton Sykes and Robbye Simpson Sykes; and his brothers, Alton Sykes, Jr. and Jarrett Sykes. He is survived by: his wife Helen Pulley Sykes; his daughter Jennifer S. Harris (Mark) of Franklin, TN; his sister Lauradene Shinnick (Ken) of Franklin, TN; his sister-in-law Molly Sykes of Decatur, IL; and his granddaughters, Helena Harris and Audrey Harris.
