He was predeceased by: his parents, Nelius Jasper Potts and Willie Adelle White; his wife Nellie Mae Buchanan Potts; and his siblings, Lucille Griffin, Jappie Fox, Marie Wisener, Paul, Clayton, Boyd and Donald Wayne Potts.
He is survived by: his son David Potts (Candi); his grandchildren, Michelle McMillen (Russ), Michael Potts (Harika) and Sarah Mason (Zach); his great grandchild Yazmin Potts; his siblings, Reese Potts (Juanita), Guffee Potts (Jan) and Vella Roberson; and his brother-in-law Robert Griffin. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to Walker Baptist Church.
