Mattie Sue Cathey Hazelwood Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mattie Sue Cathey Hazelwood (Franklin, Tennessee), who passed away on January 28, 2022 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, James E. Cathey and Carrie Epperson Cathey; her husband Joe Will Hazelwood (J. W.); her children, Larry Hazelwood and Kerry Hazelwood; her grandchildren, Gina Hazelwood, Scotty Vaughan, Brandon Hazelwood and John Hazelwood; and her siblings, Henry, John, Jimmy, Cromer, Elmer, Dan Cathey, Josephine Ketchum and Janet Buchanan.

She is survived by: her children, Lonny Hazelwood (Judy) and Dinah Hazelwood; her daughter-in-law Donna Hazelwood; her grandchildren, Dale Hazelwood (Shannon), Cathey Polk (Bryon), Jason Vaughan, Brian Hazelwood (Brandi), Jamie and Shannon Haston; her great grandchildren, Grant, Brett Polk, Lauren Bacon (Brad), Greg Hazelwood (Emily), Johnna, Will, Seth, Barrett, Brody Hazelwood, Emily and Ryan Vaughan; her great great grandchild Beau Bacon; her sister Lou Emma Skipper (William); and her sisters-in-law, Annie Lee Neal, Irene Williams (Morris) and Dodie Hazelwood. She is also survived by children, grandchildren, great grandchildren.
