She was predeceased by: her parents, Elvis Simmons and Ruby Simmons; her husband Nathan; and her sister Virginia. She is survived by: her granddaughter Minnie Pearl; her daughters, Marcella, Janet (Tim) and Lisa (Johnny); and her grandchildren, Joshua (Andrea), Shannon (Ryan), Morgan (Tee), Lauren (Ernest), Dustin (Jessica) and Heather.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in her name.
