She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Ross and Willie Mae Poteete; and her siblings, Betty Jones, Lynia Davis, Elizabeth Poteete, Ethel Johnson and Thomas Ross Poteete Jr..

She is survived by: her siblings, Virginia Jones, Mary Ruth Toungette, Grace Morris and German Poteete. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
