She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parent Helen; her husband Dr. James "Jim" Edward Auer; her daughter-in-law Francis "Frank" Teiichiro Auer (Shanna); her grandchildren-in-law, Noah, Sophia, Charlotte and Lydia; her children, Helen Meeyoung Girard (Nathan) and Major John Edwin (Kristin); her granddaughter Violet; her sister Nancy Manning VanDevender (Pace); and also Vicki Carroll Manning. She was also cherished by cousins, nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, friends, past coworkers, and sorority sisters.
