John Gibson Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Gibson of Franklin, Tennessee, born in Atlanta, Georgia, who passed away on February 18, 2022 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Walter Gibson and Ruby Gibson; his brothers, Daniel, Donald, George and James; his wife Lucy; his daughters, Christey Gibson (Steven Critchfield) and Cheryl Jones (Randy); his grandchildren, Liz Timbs (Ken Alleman), John Jones and Samantha Jones; his adoptive mother April Cantrell; and also, Mark Cantrell, Laura Hamilton, Chase Cantrell, Talisa Cantrell and Acheena Cantrell.

In lieu of flowers, friends wishing to honor John may make a donation in his name to the Hillsboro United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.
