He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow Mack and Ellen Austin Henry; and his brother Woodrow Mack Henry, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Velma Davis Henry; his children, Johnny A., Jr. Henry (Jennifer) and Jeannie Henry Casner (Jack); his brother Michael Henry (Gracy); and his grandsons, Jefferson Woodrow Henry and Brendan Jackson Casner.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
