She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Mayfield and Inez Mayfield; her husband Russell Turnage; and her siblings, Robert Mayfield, George Orville Mayfield, Ivo "Chip" Mayfield, Carl Raymond Mayfield and Carrie Talley.

She is survived by: her son Jack Turnage of Franklin; and her grandchildren, Kim Turnage, Kelly Turnage, Zeb Turnage, Pacer Turnage (Brittany), Joni Crockarell, Josh Smithson, Bill Bryant and Katie Bryant Schwerdtfeger. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren.
