He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Dorothy Jean Bonds; his children, Angie Robinson (Ben), James Bonds III (LaPatricia) and Alonzo Hughes Jr.; his siblings, Bonita Laurence, Mazzie Lee, Patrica Starnes (Sam) and Thomas Bonds (Linda); his siblings-in-law, Evelyn Jones (Houston), Inez Dobbins, Sarah Caldwell, Charles Dobbins, Carl Dobbins, Ray Dobbins and Robert Tyus; and his friend Katie Shepherd. He was also cherished by nieces, nephew, cousins.
