Atkinson; his grandchildren, James Ralph Robert, III (Karlie), Matthew Ryan Robert, Piper McKinley Robert, Walker Michael Robert, Caroline Gresham (Brad), Julia Layne Carter, Nicholas Carter (Christy), Alexander Carter (Jane), Morgan Jones (Tyler), Carter Atkinson (Haley), DeMoss Stumbo and Dewey Stumbo; his stepgrandchildren, Anthony Meza, Natalie Meza-Johnson (Joe) and Marcos Meza; and his great grandchildren, Elijah James Robert, Jeremiah Paul Robert, Kylie Lea Robert, Noah Sean Carter, Maeve Carter, Nicholas O'Brien Carter, Jr., Abigail Carter, Marceline E Carter, Riley Marie Jones and Lila Lane Rasmussen.
