She was predeceased by: her parents, Alton Sykes and Robbie Sykes; and her brothers, Alton Sykes Jr. (Jeanette), Jarret Sykes (Marleen) and Shelby Sykes (Helen).
She is survived by: her significant other Kendrick Shinnick; her children, Michael Shinnick (Paula) and Susan Stapleton (Wade) of Franklin, TN.; her friend Sue Adams; her sister-in-law Helen; her son-in-law Wade; her grandchildren, Ellen Flannery (Jeff), Will Shinnick (Caity), Meg Farmer (Chandler) and Sara Matthews (Will); and also Robbie.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Williamson Memorial Funeral Home & Cremation Service (3009 Columbia Ave, Franklin, TN 37064). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at the Woodlawn Memorial Park (660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204).
