She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Alec King and Nellie Lucinda King (Qualls); her husband Aaron Burl Stephens; and her brothers, Hilton King and Ezra King.

She is survived by: her children, Kathy Stephens (Ron), Don Stephens, Cynthia Elliot (Sam) and Tammy Barrier; her sister Sue Campbell; and her grandchildren, Steve Johnson, Donna Spain, James Johnson, John Elliot, Tasha Akins and Hailey Barrier. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
