Elen Smith Gardner Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Elen Smith Gardner of Franklin, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 12, 2025 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husbands, Ben Edward Young and Grady Buford Gardner; her parents, Clarence Smith and Ary Smithson Smith; her stepdaughter Jean Broadfoot; and her siblings, Louise Smith, Leon Smith, Lois Early, Mary McKelvey, Fred Smith, Glyn Smith, Ruth Sharp and Ella Crafton.
She is survived by: her nephew Edward Crafton; her niece Kay Brant (Ron); and her stepchildren, Vance Gardner (Jane), Andy Young, Anita Young White and Edward Jr. Young (Carolyn). She is also survived by several step grandchildren, great nieces and nephews and other loving family members.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Williamson Memorial Funeral Home & Cremation Service (3009 Columbia Ave, Franklin, TN 37064). A graveside service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Williamson Memorial Gardens (3009 Columbia Ave, Franklin, TN 37064).
