He was predeceased by: his grandfathers, Ralph Brooks and Joseph Rosa; and his brother Alex Ward. He is survived by: his mother Karen Ann Brooks Hanson; his stepfather Allan Hanson; his father Daniel "Danny" A. Ward Sr.; his stepmother Shannon Ward; his grandmothers, Jean Tomlin Brooks and Judy Rosa; and his uncles, Bill Brooks and David Ward.
