She was predeceased by: her father Robert Samuel Barnes; her husband John Mahon Jr.; and her siblings, Eva Brown, Robbie Heithcock, Ida Bea Perry, Mildred Barnes, Eunice Greer, Lois Waller, Dora Johnson, Carolyn Barnes and Elmer Barnes.
She is survived by: her children, Brenda Avent (Bill) and Robert W. "Bobby" Mahon (Alicia); her grandchildren, Tommy Gatlin (Patty), Dewanna Mahon Bierwert (Clayton), Laura Kinnan (Casey) and Annie Farmer (Rickie); and her sisters, Christine Mahon and Frances Hartley (Johnny). She is also survived by seven great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
