It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Anthony Dowell (Franklin, Tennessee), who passed away on October 28, 2024, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He is survived by: his fiancée Dorothy Cannon; his children, Tonya Robinson, LaTonya Patton and Maurice Dowell (Rochetta); his grandchildren, JeQuez, Jetrevius, Jemauri Robinson, Branden Patton, Jewon Patton and Aliya Dowell; his stepdaughters, Shakeitha Cannon and Erica Cannon; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Kyriah, Ki'erra Harris, Kalise Cannon, Brian Harrison Jr., Bronze Harrison, Tiara Oden, TaNovah Pierce, Shavonna Cannon, Taquita Dodson, Devon Hunter and Maliya Brown. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins and many friends.
The lying in state was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Waters Funeral Home (1408 Columbia Ave, Franklin, TN 37064). Visitation was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the West Harpeth Primitive Baptist Church (4141 Columbia Ave, Franklin, TN 37064).
