He was predeceased by: his parent Thomas Earl Thorpe; and his nephew Phillip Neal. He is survived by: his mother Laura Allen Thorpe; his daughter Amber Thorpe Knott (Patrick Knott, II); his grandchildren, Brooklynn Wilson, Christopher Wilson, Thomas Wilson, Asher Wilson and Patrick Knott; his siblings, Angie Neal (Perry), Sandra Woodward (Billy), Belinda Davis and Tommy Dale Thorpe (Diane); his nieces and nephews, Heather Brannon (Randy), Brittany Davis, Ashley Kocisko (Brandy), Haley Woodward, Ryan Thorpe (Tori), Sean Thorpe (Brooke), Joey Neal and Jacob Bagby (Kayla); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Allie Thorpe, Rose Thorpe, Hunter Thorpe and Chase Davis; and his close friend Peter Wilson (Mary Brown).
