She was predeceased by: her parents, Virginia Baltimore Brazier and Floyd Boyett; and her brothers, Jerry Boyett and Milton Boyett. She is survived by: her husband William 'Bill Smith; her children, Michelle Stacey (Anthony) and Jonathan Smith (Angela); her grandchildren, Kellen Robinson (Kyla), Maleah Stacey, Will Smith and Sophie Smith; and her sisters, Charlotte Lindsey, Iva Jones, Brenda Meeks, Cathy Boyett, Kay East and Pam Shores.
