He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Laster and Nettie Cotton Laster; and his brothers, Homer Laster, David Laster, Earl Laster, Burl Laster and Walter Laster (Wilma).
He is survived by: his wife Bobbie Laster of Flintville; his children, Patsy Kovach (John) of Flintville and Jackie Laster (Joan) of Flintville; his brother Jack Jr. Laster (Geneva) of Hazel Green, AL; his grandchildren, Josh Kovach (Whitney) of Spring Hill, TN and Stephanie Barnett (Curtis) of Kelso; and his great grandchildren, Lily and Sawyer Kovach. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
