It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Virnie Mae Briggs of Flag Pond, Tennessee, who passed away on February 20, 2025, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

In the vast expanse of eternity, Virnie shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Virnie farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Anderson Silvers and Minnie Silvers; her husband Thomas Stanley "Tom" Briggs; her son David Briggs; her stepsons, Clayton Briggs and Elton Briggs; and her siblings, JB Silvers, Velva Sparks and Ina Tipton.

She is survived by: her children, Reta Cloyd and Jean Steples. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Upper Rice Creek Cemetery.
