He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Bailey Sams and Glenna Kate Sams of Flag Pond; his wife Frances Provine Sams; his children, David Sams (Cynthia), Deborah Sams, James Sams, Diane Sams Gagliano (Rob), Elizabeth Tuetken and Suzanne Sams Lovell; and his grandchildren, Jordan Sams, Katherine Gagliano Johnson, Nicolas Gagliano, Braxton Lovell, Andy Lovell, AnnaKate Lovell, Hunt Tuetken and Elle Tuetken (Abby Abboud).
