He was predeceased by: his parents, George Silvers and Marietta Blankenship Silvers; his wife Rellie Jane Silvers; his son Michael Lester Silvers; his grandson Seth Price; and his siblings, Grady, Charlie, Elroy, Claude, Offie, Rollie, Freeman Silvers, Lula Morrow, Getta Silvers, Beulah Silvers Robinson, Sally Rice, Eunice McIntosh and Ola Silvers.
He is survived by: his children, Tim Silvers (Angela) of Jonesborough, Nancy Price (Victor) of Erwin and Teresa Campbell (Dana) of Erwin; and his brothers-in-law, Horace Stockton (Reva) and Carter Stockton (Betty). He is also survived by eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren.
